Certified Offshore Crane Inspector
Program Overview
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This program has three interrelated purposes:
- To introduce students to the safe operating environment and inspection procedures of Offshore Class Cranes
- To develop practical crane inspection skills with an actual crane.
- To assess each student’s abilities through an evaluation process.
Instruction will include lectures, discussions, videos, Power-Point presentations and practical lessons by using an actual lattice crane.
Participants can now pursue TUV / IICS 4.1 Certified Offshore Crane Inspector certifications, from 2 international recognized certification bodies.

This course also prepares delegate for this certification Exam:
- TUV / IICS 4.1 Certified Offshore Crane Inspector in reference to API RP 2D-2
COURSE OBJECTIVES
At the end of the course, delegates will:
- Become a "competent personnel" to inspect offshore cranes and associated lifting equipment.
- Be able to understand the relevant standards.
- Become confident in carrying out more challenging inspection
- tasks.

Our Trainer
Our trainer has more than 30 years hands-on experience as an Authorized Inspector and Auditor acc. to German Pressure Vessel (AD-2000 Merkblaetter), Boiler (TRD) and Storage Tanks Codes, Pressure Equipment Directive (PED), Transportable Pressure Equipment Directive (TPED) and European Construction Material Directive; 9 years out of it within TUV’s International Business Units in Asia Pacific.
